MEET THESE TWO TRAVELERS.
LOVE-STRUCK AND DEPRAVED.
BILL + LYNDSAY
One started on stage behind the mic belting out arias, the other behind a desk yelling at his listeners.
Both entirely crazy and entirely in love with what they do. Using their voices to entertain, to educate, to share what it's like to travel with an age-difference and disability.

Bill Handel
Host, The Bill Handel Show + Handel on the Law
Bill Handel has been in broadcasting since 1985. It was a fluke how he got in, and it’s probably a fluke he’s still here. He’s spoken with murderers, Presidents, titans of business, but best of all, people who are so fucking crazy, it’s almost beyond belief.
His Los Angeles morning drive show broadcasts Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 9:00 am Pacific on KFI AM 640. It is about everything and nothing: politics, history, serious and crazy ass current events, analysis and tons of personal stories. For example, he married someone 26 years younger. “And I’ll follow her wherever my passport will allow.”
His nationally syndicated weekend show, Handel on the Law (about “marginal” legal advice. As an attorney (strangely enough not disbarred yet), he redefines legal malpractice. The people who call in for legal advice are either extremely old, demented, in mental facilities, living in dumpsters, unintelligible or any combination of the above.
Awards aren’t too shabby either:
-
The Radio & Records Local News/Talk Personality of the Year in 2005, 2007, and 2008
-
The NAB Marconi Radio Award for Major Market Personality in 2005
-
Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2009
-
Induction into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2017
-
Broadcast Legend Award from RTNA in 2024

Lyndsay Soprano-Handel
Host, Giving Pain Purpose
Lyndsay Soprano-Handel is the host of Giving Pain Purpose, a podcast about living in and with chronic pain and trauma. Getting to the heart of how to heal.
After running a boutique marketing agency for 25 years, she decided to close the doors and to continue her work toward her WHY. She became the CEO + Founder of The Pain Hub, an online community built by women, for women who are ready to transform their pain into power—where stories are shared, support is real, and pain is given purpose.
She lives with Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) a rare pain condition that is higher than natural childbirth and amputation on the McGill’s pain scale. Her pain doesn’t publish a schedule — so she doesn’t wait for someday.
Lyndsay plans the trips to the letter, packs the bags, and swears her way through security in her sporty wheelchair she lovingly calls, “her buggy.” Her body has opinions. She overrules them and carries on. The ultimate bite on a stick chick.
WHY WE STARTED THIS THING
We both come with excessive baggage — twenty-six years of age difference, her body that keeps its own schedule, his memory that leaks, daughters that make us want to jump off a bridge, in-laws that are Christian nutcases.
We stopped apologizing for it all and started packing it.
This is us, carrying on. Living, traveling, and pissing a few people off along the way.
Nobody’s promised next year. So, we board first, go now, and record everything along the way.
